Some are rigorous, hard work. Mind mapping. Role playing. Listing scenarios. Brainstorming and back-and-forth idea building. Push that imagination and you’ll reach new heights.
But what also works is simply lying down. You’ve heard people say they “sleep on it” to get their best ideas. They wake up with the insight found, perhaps, in their dreams or subconscious.
Lying down also has other results. One reason might be that more of the chemical noradrenaline is released while we’re standing, and noradrenaline could inhibit our ability to think creatively.
